Microscopic polyangiitis (MPA) is an ANCA-associated small vessel vasculitis affecting 2-3 per 100,000, primarily driven by MPO-ANCA (p-ANCA) neutrophil activation causing pauci-immune necrotizing crescentic glomerulonephritis, pulmonary capillaritis, and diffuse alveolar hemorrhage. MPA involves NF-kB, NET formation, and complement-alternative pathway amplification. Sea moss fucoidan modulates NF-kB and complement; selenium supports neutrophil GPx and renal antioxidant protection; zinc supports Treg immune regulation; omega-3 modulates LTB4 neutrophil chemotaxis. Rituximab, cyclophosphamide, avacopan (complement inhibitor), and prednisone are standard; sea moss provides anti-inflammatory nutritional support alongside rheumatologist and nephrologist care.
