IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) is a fibroinflammatory condition with 30,000–50,000 US cases, driven by Th2/Treg imbalance, type 2 T follicular helper cells, and IgG4-secreting plasmablasts causing tumefactive lesions and storiform fibrosis in the pancreas, biliary system, orbits, kidneys, aorta, and lymph nodes. IgG4-RD involves IL-4/IL-13/TGF-beta fibrotic signaling. Sea moss fucoidan modulates TGF-beta anti-fibrotic signaling and B-cell activation; selenium supports GPx protection in affected organs; zinc supports Treg regulation; omega-3 modulates Th2 eicosanoid balance. Prednisone and rituximab are standard; sea moss provides anti-fibrotic nutritional support alongside specialist care.
