Sea Moss for Anti-GBM Disease: Anti-Inflammatory, Kidney & Pulmonary Support

Anti-glomerular basement membrane (anti-GBM) disease (Goodpasture syndrome) is a rare autoimmune condition affecting 1-2 per million annually, caused by autoantibodies against the alpha-3 chain of type IV collagen in glomerular and alveolar basement membranes, causing rapidly progressive crescentic glomerulonephritis and pulmonary hemorrhage. Anti-GBM disease involves complement C3/C5 activation and NF-kB-driven kidney/lung destruction. Sea moss fucoidan modulates complement C3/C5; selenium supports renal and alveolar GPx protection; zinc supports renal tubular metallothionein; omega-3 modulates inflammatory eicosanoids. Plasmapheresis, cyclophosphamide, and prednisone are standard emergency treatments; sea moss provides nutritional support post-acute phase.
