Sea Moss for Fertility: Zinc, Iodine & the Reproductive Mineral Connection

Fertility medicine has increasingly recognized that nutritional status matters — not just as general health, but as a specific determinant of reproductive outcomes. Four minerals in sea moss are directly implicated in reproductive function.

Zinc: The Reproductive Mineral

Zinc is required for testosterone production in Leydig cells, for sperm cell maturation in the epididymis, and for the final stages of egg (oocyte) development in women. Zinc-deficient men show measurably reduced sperm count and motility. Zinc-deficient women show impaired oocyte maturation — the egg doesn't complete its developmental program correctly.
